Who is This Who Comes: The Maturing Bride — Song of Songs is a love poem that is intended to capture the pursuit of God's people by God, and the pursuit of God by God's people. We have already seen the first bloom of love, outlined in the first message of this series. In the second message we saw the growing relationship of those who come to know the Lord. In the third message, we saw the relational issues which beset the growing relationship. Even though the Shulammite was still deeply focused on her love, she needed a time in the wilderness to grow in her mature devotion to the one she loved. This is also the way that Jesus works with the Church, as we shall see in this message.
